White Hive Coffee was started by Paul Amargo in Arizona as a passion project and side hustle. In August 2021 the business was moved to Saint George Utah and is now managed by Josiah Thorsland. I found the coffee scene in town to be inadequate for the community demand and decided to make a difference. Our coffee is roasted fresh to order with a dedication to customer relations and product quality.

Our goal is to expand by having White Hive Coffee served or sold in local shops and businesses. The long-term goal is to have a shop in tandem with other local artisans where we can develop community and host events such as open mics and shows. I am inspired by many coffee shops in the East where I grew up because of their atmosphere and community involvement. For example, check out Flora Coffee Shop in Ashville NC, or the Mountain Goat in Greenville SC. There are a lot of talented people in St George and it would be amazing to see what we can accomplish together.

Right now the roasting operation is based in a storage room at my house and business is done through Instagram and in person. You can find White Hive Coffee being sold at MOFACO and Red Canyon Company in Southern Utah.
